Summary

Edgi runs AI models entirely on your device. Your prompts, conversations, microphone audio, photos, and the model outputs are processed locally and never leave your device. We do not operate servers that receive your content. The only network activity is downloading the AI models and their data files you choose to install.

What the app does and does not collect

We do NOT collect, transmit, or store on any server:

• Your text prompts or conversations.
• Microphone audio. Audio is captured only when you use on-device transcription or speech translation, is processed locally, and is not uploaded.
• Photos or images. Images you select for on-device vision features are processed locally and are not uploaded.
• Generated outputs (text, audio, transcripts, translations).
• Any account, contact, or identity information. The app has no sign-in.

Data that does leave your device (network):

• Model and data downloads. When you choose to install a model, the app downloads the model's weights/data files over an encrypted HTTPS connection from Hugging Face (huggingface.co and its CDN). These are file downloads; the request does not include your prompts or personal content. Downloaded files are verified by checksum and stored on your device. Hugging Face's handling of the network request is governed by its own privacy policy.

Permissions and why they are used

• Internet / Network state — to download the models and data files you select, and to check connectivity for those downloads.
• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — only for on-device speech transcription and speech translation. Audio is processed locally and never uploaded.
• Camera (via the system camera app) — only when you capture a photo for an on-device vision feature. The image is processed locally and never uploaded.
• Foreground service / Notifications — to keep a model download running reliably and show its progress; not used for marketing or tracking.

Analytics

Edgi bundles no analytics SDK and collects no usage analytics or advertising identifiers. There is no third-party tracking code in the app. If a future version ever introduces optional analytics, it will be strictly opt-in, and this policy and the Play Data Safety section will be updated before any such version ships.

Children's privacy

Edgi is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because content is processed on-device and not collected, the app does not build profiles of any user.

Data security and retention

Because your content is processed on-device and not transmitted to us, there is no server-side copy to secure or retain. Downloaded model files and any content you create stay on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app. Network downloads use HTTPS.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date and, where required, in the app's Google Play Data Safety section.
